The E4 story 

Where we began

We’ve been delivering qualified, competent and committed healthcare staff on demand to facilities across Australia since 2012.


E4 was co-founded by Edward Freeman and Josh Hill. They came from a recruitment background, and couldn’t believe how recruiters were operating, and the knock-on impact this had on healthcare and aged care facilities.


And the Australian healthcare sector needs people doing the right thing, because we know exactly the pressures being faced…


  • There’s not enough skilled healthcare worked to fill all the staffing gaps.
  • Teams are overworked, and this has a domino effect on care quality to residents and patients.
  • We have an ageing population, and demand for care staff is growing rapidly.


Edward and Josh's drive was to build real relationships with healthcare professionals and facilities across the country. Actually getting to know them, not just a quick email here and there.


The recruiter stereotype of 'just getting deals done' and 'people are just a number' wasn’t acceptable to them.


And they were committed to never, ever cutting corners.


So, Edward and Josh focused on doing just that. Our team started to build, the locations we supported grew, and we’re proud of where we’ve come to.

Keep in touch with you and never go dark on you. That you know are human, have a sense of humour, and get you results. Oh, and that you like to work with. 


Overall, it's about being great communicators, being transparent, being fair and open, and doing what's right. It's the basics you deserve, but it takes time and a lot of agencies aren't willing to put the extra effort in. We can confidently say we do just that.
