Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver a variety of lifestyle programs that support residents' physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to create personalised activities that reflect individual preferences.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, implementing improvements to boost engagement and satisfaction.
- Partner with healthcare professionals to align lifestyle activities with residents’ care plans.
- Organise and manage events, ensuring activities are well-planned and adequately resourced.
- Cultivate an inclusive and positive community environment, encouraging active resident participation.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and feedback, and prepare regular reports for management.
- Coordinate and oversee the Volunteer Program to enhance resident experiences.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or equivalent).
- Current NDIS clearance or progress toward obtaining one.
- Level II First Aid Certificate.
- At least 12 months of experience in a similar aged care role, with a strong understanding of the needs and preferences of older adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative and proactive in developing engaging, meaningful activities.
- Genuine empathy, patience, and dedication to improving the lives of elderly residents.
