Press release - Introducing back in my day podcast, a platform where aged-care residents are the stars

As a leading figure in aged care staffing for over 13 years, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our latest venture, the Back In My Day podcast. This unique podcast is dedicated to showcasing the remarkable life stories of aged care residents, ensuring that their memories are preserved for generations to come.

We have had the privilege of hearing countless incredible stories from aged care residents throughout our years of service. We believe that these stories deserve to be shared and cherished, which is why we have created this platform for residents to record their memories.

The primary objectives of the "Back In My Day" podcast are as follows:

  1. Cherishing Life Stories: Our podcast aims to celebrate the rich and diverse life experiences of aged care residents, highlighting the wisdom and lessons learned throughout their journeys.
  2. Providing Insight: We seek to offer valuable insights for individuals and their families who are transitioning to aged care, providing guidance and support as they navigate this important phase of life.
  3. Raising Awareness: Through our podcast, we aim to shed light on the significant number of aged care residents who do not receive visitors regularly and emphasise the need for aged care visitor volunteers to provide companionship to support the mental health of residents.

Join us on this inspiring journey as we honour the voices and stories of aged care residents on the Back In My Day podcast. Together, let us create a platform where their experiences are celebrated, cherished, and shared with the world.
